French energy exchange Powernext will launch from September monthly auctions for Guarantees of Origin (GOs), a tracker for electricity produced by renewable sources.
“With the new auction system, buyers of GOs will for the first time be able to specify preferences for the source of the renewable electricity,”
The GO auctions come as France plans to increase the share of renewables in the electricity mix to 40% by 2030….
